MarkBook section 2-3

Loading Your Classes Onto a PDA Handheld Computer

Once you have installed MarkBook CNX, you're ready to move your class lists, other student data, levels or letter grades, all existing assessments, and custom attendance codes onto your PDA handheld computer. This is done through a HotSync or Active Sync - no typing required! Detailed instructions for doing this are in the MarkBook CNX manual supplied digitally on the CNX installation CD.

The Palm image shows three of the sample classes on its screen. The appearance is nearly identical on both Palm and Pocket PC handhelds.

Classes on a PDA

Tap on any class to get an image like the following. Touch any name to view student number, current overall grade, telephone numbers, etc. Record assessments, attendance and anecdotal notes on the PDA. You’ll also be able to view an archive of all assessment data entered on the PC.
