MarkBook® section 8-6
Class Report Printout Options

Reach this screen from MarkBook's Class Report Screen, section 8-1, by clicking on the Print tab near the top right. Use this Print screen to produce a variety of reports for you, your administration, or for posting in the classroom so that your students may see their current status. Please note that there are four different kinds of Class Reports with numerous options each.

Class Report Printing Set Up Screen

The Identify Students using box requires that you select how students are to be identified on the printed report. Use real names for your records and reports going to school administrators. Use Code Name or Student Number reports for posting inside your classroom. Since student numbers are not always anonymous, we strongly recommend using code names for posted reports. Similarly, select one of the options in the Format for Reporting Results box. MarkBook prints four different Class Reports listed vertically in the Type of Report box. Pick one or more.

Print reports including [ALL] assessment data, or some subsets of that data. For instance, use the pop-down menus at the top to select a specific Term and/or Category. Some teachers like to post a report at the end of each term/unit summarizing performance. Since this screen presentation is for a Blended Modes calculation, the Categories menu is unavailable and greyed out.

The number of pages required for your selected reports always displays near the upper right in blue. Reduce the Entries report to one page by clicking the Print last 10 of XX entries cell (MarkBook prints up to 10 entries per page). Minimal experimentation on your part will demonstrate the various types of reports and the optional items on those reports. Preview all reports with FinePrint.

To Print your selections, click on the Print button near the lower right. Note: if your laser printer has limited memory, pages may be incomplete. Sequential fractional pages are a good indicator of inadequate memory. Most laser printers can be upgraded with an optional chip or card. We recommend 2 Mb+ for laser printers. Bubble jet printers don't require a memory card.

To Exit this print screen, click on the Back button at the lower right (not shown).

Manual: go to section 8-7 to view a "Code Name" printout followed by a "Real Name" printout.
