Student Report Card Samples

SUMMARY REPORTS
MarkBook produces several types of individual report cards. This one is a Summary Report card for one student in a science class. This interim At Risk report can be produced for one student at a time or for the entire class (one page per student) at the push of a button. The Detailed report is similar. See the Print screen, section 9-5, for instructions. The graphs provide a potent visual presentation of the student's work especially if there are incomplete assessments as in this example.

Student Report Card with parent Signature Option

MarkBook does NOT limit you as to the number of reports printed. Nor are you restricted as to the timing of these reports.

The following information is provided on this sample report:

Assessments which have a "NoMark" do NOT appear on the Trend Graph. Assessments which have a "Zero!" do appear on the trend graph. These are the "valleys" on the graph! This student has four Zeros and these are also indicated above the parent signature line.

Tip: This report card has proven to be a powerful motivational tool especially if sent home frequently. We suggest once a month for the entire class and more frequently (copies to administration!) for problem students. The "valleys" on the trend graph draw lots of attention from students and their parents!

MINI or STRIP REPORTS
Mini Student Report Card with parent Signature Option

MarkBook prints these mini reports with 4 to 10 students per page depending on the options selected. Scissor the page to separate the reports. In the above example, the teacher has selected a comment, attendance, a grade, a mode (R,1,2,3,4), a category analysis, and a parent signature section. Note that MarkBook will lower the point size in order to make the comment text fit the box on the report.

Once your students know that you produce these reports regularly, three positive changes happen: Students viewing their grades on a computer screen

Post a Code Name Class Report, section 8-7, a few days before sending these Student Reports home - students will scramble to hand in late/missing items before this report goes out and they have a warning about their current status. If you use MarkBook's Student and Class Reports regularly, there will never be any arguments over a current grade.
