OPAT was designed and tested to speed up and facilitate the process of evaluating teachers. Designed for use
by principals to allow easy tracking performance OPAT is a web based product that is on the cutting edge of
teacher appraisal and is suitable for all jurisdictions.
Version 2 has added features:
- single key stroke personalization of comments with your choice of she/he, Peter/Mary, Mr. Jones/Miss Smith,
etc.
- single key locator for frequently used phrases.
- on-screen viewing of ALL data from Observation segment for copy or reference while building the Summative Report
as well as the Post-observation Report.
- competency analysis to show cross-school trends.
- improved storage and transfer capability; for example, can store all reports in Adobe .pdf format.
- integrated spell checking with custom dictionary.
- hard copy of ‘quick start guide’ and full instruction manual provided in a binder for easy access
along with the installation CD.
Central Storage and Transfer of Records
- OPAT can transfer individual teacher records from school to school or from school to district.
- With district-wide licensing, Asylum Software Inc. provides, at no additional cost, an export facility which
allows a principal to send all completed appraisals to a central office. That file can be imported into the
district's admin system using a suitable interface, OR Asylum will provide an Access database that will allow
import/storage of this file in read/print format.
